SimPholders - This app provides fast access to your iPhone Simulator apps. Less systems, more clothes/deals with clothing brands or pop stars/animations/etc. Or some out of no where powerhouse company from somewhere (probably a mobile game developer/publisher) will take a crack at it and try to out spend EA on raw visual content. A good modding community would have to lift the slack, and that community will depend on how many players find it worth it without that content initially. For example, we don’t have to worry about random number generation, we can simply use the rexp() function for an M/M/1. ![]() We can make use of a lot of conveniences in R to accomplish such a simulation. What we'll get is a game with better, more cohesive core mechanics but also a game that lacking content like textures/animations. So, I decided to take a shot at constructing a discrete-event simulation (as opposed to Monte Carlo simulation) of a simple M/M/1 queue in R. As free/cheap engines get better and better you have to figure some smaller dev team will take up the challenge. It's too risky for another big developer/publisher to tackle, but also relies on textures/animations that can be expensive to produce. Very quickly, but I'd bet a competitor will split the community. ![]()
